In my current role at Cedar Lane Food Shops, I set shop operation plans with managers and review sales, profit and customer service results to agree timely actions. I translate regional priorities into local trading plans, use performance reports to identify opportunities, and check that marketing materials and displays are implemented consistently. My earlier multi-site role at Moorland Pantry further developed my approach to reviewing sales and cost reports: I worked with managers to identify underperforming lines , investigate variances and agree practical shop-level responses. Developing capable management teams is a core part of my work. I recruit and coach shop managers, plan for succession and align recruitment with operational needs and approved staffing budgets. I have mentored two shop supervisors who progressed into management roles through regular coaching and development conversations. I lead through frequent shop visits, supporting managers to maintain food safety , health and safety and brand standards, while building an inclusive team culture that values different perspectives. I am confident using sales, labour and cost reports to identify issues and take practical action. I review variances against budgets and adjust rotas with shop managers to reflect trading patterns, service needs and labour limits . I also use SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams to analyse reports, share plans and communicate decisions clearly.
