I am a Senior Civil Engineer with ten years’ experience delivering design for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across Wales and south-west England. The opportunity to contribute to a varied development portfolio in Wales is a strong match for the work I have built my career around. In my current role, I lead civil design packages for housing and mixed-use schemes, coordinating drainage, highways and external works with architects, planners and other disciplines. For example, I develop foul and surface water drainage strategies in InfoDrainage from survey and site information, then prepare SAB submissions for technical approval . I also produce levels, cut and fill assessments and highway geometry in Civil 3D, addressing access and earthworks constraints with project teams before detailed design is finalised. My experience includes applying Welsh SAB legislation and approvals across development projects, alongside preparing coordinated design packages in AutoCAD and Civil 3D . I carry out technical QA on drawings and calculations, contribute options that support coordination and construction practicality, and communicate design proposals directly to clients and stakeholders at design team meetings. A 2024 project commendation for client communication and coordination reflects the care I bring to that collaborative work. I hold a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering and am progressing towards Chartership through ICE professional development. Cwm Vale’s focus on design delivery, technical approval and multidisciplinary project work in Wales is particularly appealing to me.
