As a Japanese national and MSc Finance graduate, I am keen to contribute to infrastructure investment work across its project cycle. The role’s combination of transaction work and post-signing monitoring matches the experience I have developed through supervised placement and university project work. In my supervised placement, I assessed a teaching case for a proposed transport infrastructure investment: I reviewed market information and client financial statements , built and updated a basic Excel model , and used cash-flow analysis to support credit analysis and structuring discussions. I prepared due diligence notes covering financial, market and technical factors, integrity checks and policy compliance, and documented information gaps for review. My project work has also covered implementation after signing. I tracked a hypothetical investment against agreement conditions and institutional procedures, recording disbursement milestones, project progress, client performance, changing risks and covenant compliance . I drafted a monitoring report and technical co-operation concept note, including terms of reference and internal approval documentation. This gives me a practical grounding in the analysis and reporting responsibilities described for the role. I would value the opportunity to apply this preparation at Meridian, where infrastructure finance brings together financial analysis, project delivery and engagement with stakeholders. My MSc in Finance, BSc in Economics and Finance, CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate and experience presenting research in multinational teams have prepared me to contribute carefully and meet agreed deadlines.
