I am a derivatives paralegal with nearly five years’ experience supporting banking and capital markets matters, and I am drawn to the opportunity to focus on derivatives work within a collaborative virtual legal support team. In my current role at North Quay Legal, I support banking lawyers on derivatives, securities lending and repo matters . For example, I review and mark up ISDA Master Agreements , GMRA and GMSLA documents against matter instructions, flagging inconsistencies and unresolved points for lawyer review. I also coordinate due diligence requests and maintain Excel trackers so fee earners can see outstanding documents and next steps. My earlier roles developed the wider transactional support this position calls for. I have checked corporate and transaction records during due diligence, drafted client and counterparty correspondence , and organised execution versions and electronic matter files across concurrent matters. I use Word, Excel and Outlook to manage documents, updates and deadlines, and I hold an LLB with Upper Second Class Honours , the LPC and three A levels at grade A . Wrenford’s focus on derivatives within a banking group is a clear match for my current practice and the work I have built my experience around. I value clear communication, careful handling of confidential material and dependable teamwork, and I am keen to contribute these strengths while supporting the group’s clients and fee earners.
