In my current role at Cedar Vale Health Collective, I advise managers on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and capability cases. I coach managers through difficult conversations and formal processes, helping them make timely, well-documented decisions. My experience includes applying UK employment law and HR best practice while balancing sensitive casework and competing deadlines. I have supported organisational change from consultation through to implementation. At Cedar Vale, I supported a service restructure involving revised reporting lines and role changes, coordinating consultation steps and TUPE activity with managers and external advisers. I have also reworked people policies and procedures with manager and employee input, turning legal and operational requirements into accessible guidance and consistent processes. The role’s combination of day-to-day people support and organisation-wide improvement fits the work I have built my career around. I use workforce trends and HR systems to identify absence patterns, recruitment bottlenecks and retention risks, and I have contributed to equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives and safeguarding-conscious recruitment.
