My experience at Severn Vale Containers and Wye Industrial Packaging gives me a direct understanding of the demands of packaging operations across shifts. In my current role, I lead three-shift production and work with shift managers to set safety expectations , reinforce compliance and standardise shift routines. I review safety, quality, efficiency, cost and spoilage indicators with the plant management team, agree corrective plans and track actions through to resolution. Regular floor-level discussions, mentoring and performance conversations have helped strengthen employee engagement and accountability, including constructive working relationships with union representatives. At Wye Industrial Packaging, I completed a Green Belt project on material waste and spoilage , using process observations and production data to reduce avoidable losses and improve cost control. Across my roles, I have applied BOE standards, Gemba, 5S and root-cause problem solving , and worked with production and engineering teams on autonomous maintenance, preventive practices and equipment reliability. My BEng in Manufacturing Engineering and 17 years in manufacturing are complemented by experience aligning development plans with global standards, coaching shift managers and reviewing workforce utilisation and material consumption. I hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and IOSH Managing Safely certificate, and communicate fluently in English.
