With 16 years in financial services, including current responsibility for end-to-end IRB model development in a 2LOD Credit Risk environment, I am well prepared to contribute to your team’s modelling and oversight work. This role is a strong match for the work I do now: developing models across retail and corporate portfolios while supporting sound governance and regulatory evidence. At Northmere Mutual, I coordinate the annual regulatory IRB self-assessment , identify control gaps and work with data and risk colleagues on documented remediation plans. I also translate stakeholder requirements into model and data specifications, assessing availability and quality against CRR, EBA and PRA expectations and internal Data Governance standards. This experience aligns directly with Cedarstone’s need to assess modelling data and address gaps. My modelling experience covers PD and LGD, application and behavioural scorecards, corporate PD, specialised property lending IRB slotting and stress testing. I use SAS, SQL and R for data analysis, statistical modelling and validation , and oversee Annual Model Reviews, recalibration and ad hoc testing. At Alderwick Bank, for example, I used these tools to investigate sample stability, model performance and data limitations, then prepared traceable review documentation for internal challenge. I would value the opportunity to bring this combination of hands-on modelling, regulatory knowledge and clear communication to Cedarstone’s second line of defence team. I am particularly interested in contributing across the full model lifecycle, from defining reliable data requirements to documenting reviews and supporting remediation. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my experience can support Cedarstone Bank’s Credit Risk team.
