I am pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science at Pacific Coast University, expect to graduate in May 2027, and am available for the full 12-week internship . This role fits the work I have been pursuing in my university projects: building C++ gameplay systems that make player interactions responsive and clear. I am especially interested in contributing to a collaborative team where I can refine those systems with feedback from experienced programmers. In my current capstone project, I built a C++ third-person prototype bringing character movement, player controls , camera behavior , and interactive environments into one gameplay loop. I implemented breakable props and reusable systems for interactive objects , then used structured playtesting to refine their feedback and collision behavior. Version control and faculty code reviews helped me document technical decisions and resolve integration issues. My earlier course project gave me direct practice with enemy behaviors , player abilities , and gameplay bugs. I created abilities and enemy behaviors for a compact action game, tuned them against scripted encounters and peer playtest feedback, and connected character actions to visual effects so timing and enemy state changes were easier to read. I tracked and fixed input, collision, and state-transition bugs , then checked the results across repeated test sessions. I have explored platform features and trophy unlock conditions in a student lab, including documenting requirements and testing edge cases. I enjoy working through technical options with others and applying feedback to improve a playable build. Northstar's focus on implementing and refining gameplay features across characters, interactive objects , and player abilities closely matches this experience and the kind of game development work I want to continue.
