I recently completed a B.S. in Computer Engineering and have built projects that connect cloud infrastructure, Linux systems, information retrieval, machine learning, and SAP fundamentals. The role's combination of hands-on delivery and guided learning matches the way I have developed my skills: by building a working prototype, measuring its behavior, and documenting what I found. In the University Cloud Systems Lab, I built a Python and Docker document-retrieval service for about 12,000 records and deployed its development environment with AWS EC2, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch. I added indexing and query-response benchmarks so the team could compare retrieval behavior rather than rely on impressions. I also tested simulated concurrent searches, investigated memory and response-time changes, and documented the tradeoffs we discussed during review. Shell scripts for setup, log collection, and service checks made demonstrations and troubleshooting more repeatable. My applied AI project gave me related experience with NLP, search, compression, and evaluation. I classified a 9,000-document news dataset, compared search methods using precision and recall, and measured Huffman coding and run-length encoding across different samples. In a separate enterprise-systems lab, I completed SAP S/4HANA exercises and supported Linux and Windows setup for a 20-student section. These projects taught me to test carefully, describe limitations plainly, and work productively with peers and mentors.
